Dwight Duncan was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 1995, and was re-elected in 1999, 2003 and 2007.
Duncan previously served as Minister of Energy and Chair of Cabinet, Minister of Finance and Chair of
Management Board of Cabinet, as well as Government House Leader. As Minister of Energy, Duncan brought
meaningful change to Ontario's electricity sector, fostering a culture of conservation, while ensuring
a reliable, sustainable, diverse and affordable power supply.
Duncan is a lifelong resident of Windsor. From 1987 to 1995, Duncan served as an administrator at
Brentwood Recovery Centre, Canada's largest alcohol and drug recovery centre. He sat on Windsor
City Council from 1988 to 1994.
A graduate of McGill University and the University of Windsor, Duncan has degrees in economics
and commerce, as well as an MBA. He has one son, Sean.

Peter Wallace Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary of Treasury Board. Peter Wallace was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance and Secretary to Treasury Board effective September 15, 2008. Before that, Peter was Deputy Minister of Energy, starting in January, 2007. Earlier, as Deputy Minister and Associate Secretary of the Cabinet, Policy, he played a key role in implementing government policy and legislation. From February 2001 to February 2004, Peter served as Assistant Deputy Minister of Natural Resource Management with the Ministry of Natural Resources. Prior positions include Assistant Deputy Minister, Policy and Strategic Planning, Cabinet Office; Assistant Deputy Minister, Program Management and Estimates Division, Management Board Secretariat; and Director, Expenditure Management and Reporting, Ministry of Finance. Peter began his public service career in 1981 after completing a BA (Honours) in Political Economy and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Toronto. |

Gadi Mayman Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Financing Authority. Gadi was appointed to the OFA Board of Directors in November 2003. Gadi is responsible for the Province of Ontario’s medium and long-term borrowing strategy, banking relationships and policies related to debt management. He advises the Province on the use of the Provincial credit and relations with capital markets and investors. Gadi is also Chief Executive Officer of the Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation (OEFC), responsible for its day-to-day operations. Gadi is a director on the board of Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation (OIPC). He is also Co-Chair of the Joint Nuclear Funds Investment Committee, a joint OFA and Ontario Power Generation Inc. (OPG) Committee. Prior to joining the Ontario Ministry of Finance in 1991, he worked as a treasury officer at the Export Development Corporation (EDC) in Ottawa for three years and in the International Division of the Toronto Dominion Bank for five years. Gadi received a BSc. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1981, and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1988. |

Patrick Deutscher Assistant Deputy Minister, Office of Economic Policy. Patrick Deutscher was appointed acting Assistant Deputy Minister of the Office of Economic Policy and Chief Economist for the Province of Ontario in September 2005. Prior to that appointment he was Director of the Economic and Revenue Forecasting and Analysis Branch of the OEP. Pat first joined the OPS in the summer of 1981. He worked in the Office of Economic Policy until 1987 when he left for the eastern part of the province to join the federal Department of Finance. He worked in the Fiscal and Economic Policy Branch of federal Finance until the end of 1992 when he returned to the Ontario Government and the OEP. Pat's first degree was a BA in psychology from the University of Alberta. Subsequently he earned an MA in economics from York and a PhD from the University of Toronto. |

Steve Orsini Assistant Deputy Minister, Office of the Budget and Taxation, Ministry of Finance. Steve joined the Ministry of Finance as Assistant Deputy Minister of Office of the Budget and Taxation on September 26, 2005. Steve joined the OPS in 1982 in the Economic Development Branch of the Ministry of Treasury and Economics. In 1985, he accepted a one-year secondment to the Ontario Service Sector Secretariat commissioned by Premier David Peterson. In 1986, he joined the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade in the Small Business Development Branch and later moved to the Ontario Development Corporation as Executive Assistant and Senior Advisor to the President and CEO. From 1989 to 1998, Steve worked in the Taxation Policy Branch, Ministry of Finance and worked in several key tax policy areas. In 1998, Steve joined the Ontario Hospital Association and held a number of senior executive positions. Steve has his Master’s in Environmental Studies (Economic Development Planning), a BAA in Urban and Regional Planning, and a Certificate in Public Administration. He has also completed two-thirds of the CICA In-depth Tax Course and received a certificate from Harvard University in the Health Care Leadership program. |

Greg Orencsak Assistant Deputy Minister, Fiscal Strategy and Coordination Division. Prior to his present role, Greg rejoined the Ministry of Finance as the Director of the Industrial and Financial Policy Branch in Fall 2008. Previously, Greg was at Cabinet Office as Director and Executive Assistant to the Secretary of the Cabinet and Executive Coordinator of Economic and Resource Policy. Greg has held progressively senior positions at the Ministry of Finance and spent two years as Executive Assistant and Special Advisor to the Deputy Minister of Finance. |
